How Do You Repair Powercrete Pipe Coatings?
So for starters, we are going to look at various options for making repairs to epoxy pipe coatings; whether that is FBE, DD or any of the other options that are out there today.
MAJOR DAMAGE
In a case where there is a large area of damage; it must all be re-coated. Depending on how large the damaged area is; we'd be looking at:
- using a Powercrete R65/F1 1#, 2# or 4# kit to re-coat the area (after that area has been cleaned, etc)
- using a shrink sleeve to encapsulate the entire damaged area (after cleaning the pipe surface, etc).
- use Powercrete J in a 2# or 4# Kit
- use Powercrete R95 in a 2# or 4# Kit
MODERATE DAMAGE
For moderate damage, you can actually use the very same methods
- using a Powercrete R65/F1 1#, 2# or 4# kit to re-coat the area (after that area has been cleaned, etc)
- using a shrink sleeve to encapsulate the entire damaged area (after cleaning the pipe surface, etc).
- use Powercrete J in a 2# or 4# Kit
- use Powercrete R95 in a 2# or 4# Kit
MINOR DAMAGE & PINHOLES
For minor damage and pinholes, we would recommend you use Powercrete R65/F1 in 50ml repair cartridges. A case of the repair cartridges includes:
- 25 each of the 50ml cartrdiges
- 50 each of the static mixing tips
- 1 each of the dispenser gun
