Covalence (formerly Raychem) Brief Overview

 Covalence / Raychem Shrink Sleeves

The Covalence product family has dozens of products available for thousands of pipeline applications (and related industries).  Below, I'm giving only the briefest overview of the 5 or 10 most commonly used.  If you have an unusual application though; feel free to reach out to me:  steve@jsiccoatings.com

DIRAX

The toughest heat shrink coating system in the market place with decades of successful usage.  There is nothing out there like DIRAX.  Available in 12", 17", 24", 34" and custom widths; we keep an incredibly large stock on hand, ready to ship within one day.

WPCT

The original standard shrink sleeve for lines that will operate at or below 140F.  WPCT would be used for standard buried applications, but not for road bores or directional drills.  Available in 11", 17", 24, 34" or custom widths.  Large stock in house so we can ship within one day.

TPS

Tubular Pipe Sleeves are very similar to WPCT but supplied in a tube form.  As a result they must be slid onto the pipe before the weld is made.  Available in 18" lengths or custom sizes as needed.  Large stock in house of TPS for the following pipe OD's:  2.375, 2.875, 3.500, 4.500, 6.625, 8.625.

WPC100M

Mastic sleeve for elevated temperatures - 176F buried onshore or 212F offshore.  WPC100M is a mastic sleeve with a long use history on and offshore.  Available in 11", 17", 24" and 34" widths; we keep a large stock on hand for fast deliveries.

FLEXCLAD

Heat shrinkable tape for coating pipe that is less than 2" diameter.  Flexclad is spiral wrapped and shrunk using a propane torch.  We keep a large stock of Flexclad in 3" and 4" widths with all rolls being 50 feet long.

In addition, we carry more than ten other material types.  If you have an unusual application, it is possible we have something that will work for you!  Reach out to JSI today!
