Powercrete J Installer Certifications
Powercrete J Training Session |
Our own Ron Lamont has been making the rounds this young year certifying and re-certifying some crews to be certain they are properly applying Powercrete J on their project. Doing this in early January can often introduce complications that don't exist in the middle of the summer. In this particular case it was:
- a 40 F ambient temperature
So how was that tackled? Three simple ways:
- Keep the unopened kits somewhere that they are staying at a much higher ambient temp
- Preheat the steel to 120 to 140 with a propane torch prior to mixing the epoxy
- Wind screens and tenting if necessary to keep the temperature at a level that allows the epoxy to cure
That is a good looking coating! |
Large pipe and a lot of painters! |
Available in 2#, 4# and 10# kits (and pretty much any custom size that is needed), Powercrete J is still the workhorse of the Powercrete field joint coating product bag. Give me a call to discuss your next project!
